"Untitled, Granville St." by Fred Herzog

“Pentimento I.IV” by Jamie Evrard
One of Vancouver’s most beloved nature and still life artists, artist Jamie Evrard takes day to day images and objects and, through oil paint, monotype and watercolours, uncovers an understated and resonating beauty in her subjects. Her art is included in many major public collections including the Vancouver Art Gallery, Burnaby Art Gallery, Simon Fraser University and the Canada Council Art Bank. "Coastal Passage" by Ross Penhall
Ross Penhall is an artist in demand and Vancouver Opera is fortunate to be able to offer one of his latest works “Coastal Passage” from his recent Coastal Series. After a successful career as a fireman on the North Shore, Penhall is now a full-time artist based in Horseshoe Bay and a true favourite of collectors.
Penhall’s work is among the most recognizable and evocative of BC’s landscape artists and this work is a celebration of our beautiful and dramatic coastal environment. His work is in numerous public, corporate and private collections worldwide.

"Egg Yoke" by Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas
Celebrated local artist Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas developed a genre of narrative art called “Haida Manga” which blends North Pacific indigenous iconography with the graphic dynamism of Asian manga. He explores themes of identity, environmentalism and the human condition to communicate a view that is both particular to Haida Gwaii, his ancestral home, and relevant to a contemporary international audience.
Yahgulanaas has generously donated to tonight’s auction an enchanting new artwork “Egg Yoke” (watercolour, ink on paper, 22 x 27”, 2019), a compelling example of Yahgulanaas’ unique and remarkable creativity.
